Go Global

Adventure Heightens Education

Spring / Summer 2020
"Global Minds" Travel Scholarship

“A mind that is stretched by new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” ― Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.

This year's "Global Minds" Campaign strives to reward students looking to stretch their minds through new experiences. We encourage students to cross borders and explore new environments to enhance their personal and professional growth. International travel is one of the best tools for student development because not only does it require adapting to new places, languages, and people, but it also allows for self-discovery.

Our Travel Scholarship is open to all undergraduate students currently enrolled in a Historically Black College or University, who are registered for/will be participating in an international program during the Spring or Summer of 2020. Programs may include academic study, research, or volunteer work and do not have a length requirement. Winner will receive a $1000 scholarship from HBCU Travelers that can be used toward any of the student's program expenses. These expenses may include, but are not limited to: program fees, airfare, passport/visa fees, vaccinations, housing, meals, supplies, etc.

  • Award: $1000
  • Submissions will be accepted from 8:00 AM on November 8th, 2019 until 11:59 PM on January 3rd, 2020
