Kaylan Young
A native Houstonian, Kaylan Young graduated from Howard University in the nations capital of Washington, DC. While in school she earned a distinguished B.S. degree in chemical engineering. She also participated in many extracurriculars serving as a STEM mentor and tutor, Board Member for the Howard Chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and member of the cheerleading team where she served a year as captain. Kaylan is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., a fellow in Management Leadership for Tomorrow's MBA Prep Program, and a fellow for the Forte Foundation.
Kaylan currently lives in Houston where she is working as a process engineer for CB&I. Outside of work she dedicates her time to dog watching, seasonal volleyball adult leagues, and volunteering with the Wells Foundation and Houston Urban League. |

Kaylan has traveled to 4 of the 7 continents and proclaims Italy as her favorite country. Her other favorite destinations have been Greece, Spain, Central America, and Dubai. Her goal destinations are Morocco and India.
